Cultivating Communities

A local, non-profit organization whose members are University of Wisconsin-Madison Extension trained master gardeners who live primarily in Milwaukee and Waukesha counties.

• Elected officers and board members.
• Publish a bi-monthly member newsletter.
• Meet and raise funds to support horticulture education projects.
• Support Milwaukee and Waukesha Extension coordinators and staff.
• Provide gardening-related presentations and educate the public using UW-Madison Extension-based resources and materials on horticultural topics.
• Plan and host continuing education programs for MGVs, as well as social activities for members.
• SEWMG membership includes membership in the Wisconsin Master Gardeners Association (WIMGA).

Fun and fellowship! Members can attend members-only social events and participate in the state and international master gardener organizations.

Information regarding dues is sent annually to the SEWMG listserv for Milwaukee/Waukesha Counties, and membership dues for current members is due January 1 each year. Annual dues is $25 and includes membership in both SEWMG and WIMGA. SEWMG will pay your WIMGA dues directly. Questions regarding membership can be emailed to SEWMG Membership.

New master gardeners wanting to join can do so at any time during the year.
